Where Freedom Dwells

Where Freedom Dwells

Freedom beckoned me from birth

Nature... The voice that called my name

In the breeze
Through the air
The grass whispered to me
The sun guided and encouraged
Flowers breathed the sweetest songs
(An enchantment that could never be bottled)
They enticed me with their charm
Surrounded in beauty... Made me feel beautiful
Bricks and cement just disfigured
Here, the trees are towering friends
Rugged statues of ancient kings...
Absorbing the heat of their goddess
Storing the gift of life itself
In their petrified stance hides an abundance of wealth
Where only age and the seasons transform...
Lush greens, earth browns, fire reds, golden yellows
Gracing the canopies high
Before laying mosaics on the earth
Enriching, feeding, sheltering, colouring
Returning all to life's only mother
She who gives all... Yet demands nothing
I stand in silence and close my eyes
I am in ore
As my soul is healed
Her heartbeat re-balances my vehicle form
Chakras align
Aura cleansed
Spirit renewed
Here... I am part of the universe
And this is where freedom dwells
